Well here I am stuck at home with a virus, not to mention snow and getting ready for company Thursday night and Super Bowl prep. My dad's birthday is Friday and I can't get out to look for something. I was thinking a really nice grilling book. He grills a lot and has both a gas grill and an Egg and he's pretty good. So nothing too basic. BUT he's not the most adventuresome eater, so nothing too exotic, either. Can anyone recommend something that I could order and have sent? Thanks so much!

Here is the real NON-grill master making a recommendation. For real American grilling and not too exotic there should be a Bobby Flay book unless he already owns them.
Food, glorious food! / Hot sausage and mustard!
While we're in the mood -- / Cold jelly and custard!
Pease pudding and saveloy! / What next is the question?
Rich gentlemen have it, boys -- / In-di-gestion!

Bobby Flay's books are excellent, and my other favourite book is William Sonoma's Grilling.

this seems to be an updated version of the one I have,

here.. I happen to be a fan of most of the WS cookbooks. They are clear, use fresh ingredients, the pictures are terrific and the instructions detailed.

Practice. Do it over. Get it right.
Mostly, I want people to be as happy eating my food as I am cooking it.

Thanks! I went ahead and ordered the Wm Sonoma one. Hope he doesn't have it!

I guess I'm too late. I was going to recommend 'Steve Raichlen's BBQ USA' or 'Paul Kirk's Championship Barbecue' or 'Dr. BBQ's Barbecue All Year Long.'
