I've begun making smoothies recently. Particularly since I aquired the Waring Pro Smoothie Maker:

I mostly make them for my son. His current favourite is banana, strawberry, yogurt and milk, with some ice and a touch of sugar.

Any ideas for other combinations I should try for him?

Peaches, yogourt, vanilla bean and milk. It's the perfect time for them. I think I know what I'll have for breakfast tomorrow!

My favourite breakfast smoothie is made with blueberries and strawberries, in fact I use that combination pretty much every time I make one

For the base I use either milk/yoghurt or just orange juice.

Marlene, what's a "smoothie maker" ? I just use the blender.

Um, well I have three blenders  . One is used strictly for sauces etc, one for making adult drinks and the smoothie maker for Non-alcholic drinks. yeah, it's overkill. I know already! :D

We've been having smoothies almost every morning since I got the VitaMix. The one we have the most often is

1 cup blueberries
1 cup strawberries
1 banana
1 orange
1 apple
10 cubes of ice

This makes two giant smoothies for us :D or three sensible smoothies for anyone else. :)

Sometimes I'll omit the apple if I have something like mango or 20 red seedless grapes. I have a huge papaya ripening right now. I see that happening for a couple of days in our upcoming smoothies. I'm thinking about doing the yogurt addition, but so far we've been only having the fruit only kind. And I must tell you there are some aspects of my physical well-being that have improved from it starting just days after we began drinking them.

These very filling and fiber-filled smoothies are the reason now that we're often having what I call breakfast-for-lunch. I.E. omelets, bacon, toast, etc. instead of breakfast as breakfast time.

Food, glorious food! / Hot sausage and mustard!
While we're in the mood -- / Cold jelly and custard!
Pease pudding and saveloy! / What next is the question?
Rich gentlemen have it, boys -- / In-di-gestion!
